CJ made a good impression on us at our 2020 Northern Virginia camp. He later followed it up with solid video proof of his improvement and consistency. CJ will be attending our 2020 National Showcase on December 5-6 in Austin and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do versus close to 90 of our top specialists from over 35 states!
2020 National Showcase Update (12/6/20)
CJ did a nice job under pressure on the Day 2 KO Eliminations, finishing #4 overall by outlasting over 80 students. His kickoff consistency overall was a bit inconsistent as on Day 1 his hang times were low. He seems to have the ability though and it could be that with a combination of no football season in MA this year and the fact that it’s freezing cold by him – perhaps he didn’t have enough opportunity to prep for the weekend. He does already have an FBS (PWO) offer secured which is awesome. He’ll need to hone in his overall consistency on kickoffs, being able to put up bigger hang times with more regularity and improve his overall ball flight consistency on field goals.
