2017 Kicking World All-America Team Announced

On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, Coach Brent Grablachoff released the 2017 Kicking World All-America Team, comprised of the best kickers & punters in the nation for the 2017 football season. View this year’s All-America team.
2017 HS All-America Team
Kickers
JUNIORS
Jeremiah Kim made 11/14 FGs and 68/71 PATs (1 block) this season and 44% of his kickoffs were touchbacks. Jeremiah won the field goal event at our invite-only 2017 Showcase (besting 60 kickers from over 20 states) and also earned 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-State kicker this season.

Mark Applegate made 14/16 FGs (88%) and was a perfect 24/24 on PATs this season. He also handled punting duties and strung together a 37.5 yard net avg on 42 punts. He was also 1st Team All-District kicker, 1st Team All-Region kicker & 2nd Team All-State Kicker.

Alec Brinton was a 2016 All-State punter and this year as a senior had 10 punts inside the 20 on 36 total punts with a 41.2 yard net punt avg.
SOPHOMORES
Trey McTaggart finished up 2nd in the entire COUNTRY in points by kicking with a whopping 127 points (100 PATs and 9 FGs with a long of 47 yards). Even more impressive is his perfect 100/100 PATs! This sophomore kicker was #1 in his class on FGs at our 2017 Showcase and earned 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-State kicker this season. Trey is also a 2017 Texas HS Football Class 2A State Champion.

Honorable Mention Kickers
Seniors
Lucas Bautista had 60.5% (23/38) of his kickoffs go for touchbacks and had a perfect 25/25 PATs. This All-County Kicker is also a 3x kickoff winner and 2x Golden Boot champion at Kicking World camps.
Isodoro Barrios made 16/17 FGs and 51 PATs this year and kicked a clutch game-winning FG to help the Hippos continue in the playoffs.
Matteo Cordray was 81/81 on PATs this season and with 13 field goals finished up 4th in the entire country in points by kicking with a total of 120. He is also a 2017 Texas HS Football Class 5A State Champion.
Juniors
Marshall Golick hit 8/11 FGs (2 blocked) and 58/60 PATs this season. He also made 4-4A All-Region kicker and Honorable Mention All-State kicker.
Jasen Zirkel went 43/45 PATs and 6/8 on FGs this season. He and his younger cousin shared kicking duties and created a dynamic duo at Kerrville.
Sophomores
Jared Zirkel predominately handled kickoff and punt duties this season. On Jared’s 66 kickoffs, 37 were good for touchbacks (56% KO/TB ratio). He also finished #1 overall in kickoff charting at our 2017 Showcase.
Punters
Clayton Stewart connected on 50 punts for 2,026 yards this season. His 40.5 yard average included a long punt of 78 yards with 15 punts inside the 20.

Aaron Rodriguez earned CIF SS 1st Team Punter this season after racking up 1,943 punt yards on 51 punts with a 38.0 net avg. He also finished #1 in his class (#3 overall) on Day 2 Punt Eliminations at our 2017 Showcase.

Honorable Mention Punters
Mark Applegate punted 42 times this season and pieced together a 37.5 yard net average and 8 punts inside the 20. He also handled kicking duties and finished with 14/16 FGs (88%) this season. He was also 2nd Team All-State kicker and 2nd Team All-District punter, and 1st Team All-District kicker and All-Region kicker.

2017 College All-America Team
Kickers
Jason Sanders has the biggest leg in all of college football finishing #1 in touchbacks (82.14%) his junior year and following it up again at #3 (81.25%) as a senior. He set a school record for most consecutive PATs (85) and finished his college career with 111/112 PATs (99.1%). Jason is high on NFL scout’s watch lists and we anticipate him being picked up this spring. 2016: 84 kickoffs/69 touchbacks, 2 onsides. 2017: 48 kickoffs/39 touchbacks, 4 onsides. Jason was a 4x Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Week and this is his 2nd consecutive KW College All-American honor.

Honorable Mention Kickers
Lucas Havrisik went 9/10 touchbacks and tied a school record longest FG of 57 yards where he earned PAC-12 Special Teams Player of the Week. He finished his freshman year with 63 touchbacks on 93 kickoffs (67.74%). Lucas still holds the Kicking World record for longest field goal (65) in our double-elim FG competition. While Lucas still has 3 years of college left, we anticipate him being a much desired NFL kicker prospect.
Hunter Daly made 11/14 FGs this season with longs of 41 and 40 and a perfect 14/14 PATs while also serving as the starting punter.
Punters
Matt Murray put 14 punts inside the 20 on 52 total punts. He averaged 41.7 yards per punt with 2,170 punt yards. This Conference Special teams MVP is also graduating from one of the most difficult engineering schools in the country and made Academic All-American. He was the punt competition winner at our 2017 College/Pro training camp.

Hunter Daly was named NJAC Special Teams Player of the Year and Week (4x) after a fantastic season for Montclair State where he handled punting and kicking duties. He finished with 2,478 yards on 65 punts with a 38.1 net avg. He put 16 punts inside the 20, and forced 12 fair catches and only 4 touchbacks. Hunter honed his craft at our 2017 College/Pro event.

Honorable Mention Punters
Devin Stuart earned conference Special Teams Player of the week after a performance where he hit a 58 yard punt, averaged 40 yards per punt with 2 inside the 20 and ran a designed fake punt for 21 yards for a 1st down. He averaged 41.5 yards on 48 punts this season with 1,991 total yards. Devin made strides since our 2017 College/Pro event.
