HS Sophomore Sets Kicking Camp Record with 65 Yard Field Goal

Lucas Havrisik, Riverside Poly Class of 2017 kicker sets Kicking World all-time kicking camp record for longest field goal in competition (65 yards).

Lucas Havrisik, Class of 2017 kicker (Riverside Poly HS) from Riverside, CA absolutely dominated the Kicking World Orange County, CA field goal competition held at Yorba Linda HS on March 7, 2015. As a HS sophomore, he made 10 consecutive field goals back to 65 yards (30L, 30R, 35L, 35R, 40M, 45M, 50, 55, 60, 65) winning the Golden Boot award (best placekicker at camp) in a field of 35 High School kickers & punters from around Southern California.

“In the 8 years of running our kicking camps, I don’t remember seeing a HS Sophomore kick the ball as far and as powerful as Lucas did at our 2015 camp in Orange County, CA.” -Coach Brent Grablachoff (Kicking World)

Lucas’s 65 yard field goal earned him a spot atop the Kicking World record books as the new all-time longest field goal in competition (65 yards) record holder. His performance bested the previous all-time longest field goal record (63 yards) set in a 3-way tie (Eric Piccione, Brannon Satterfield, Jake Carter) at our June 2013 Austin, TX camp.

Lucas Havrisiki’s impressive performance earned him a new camp record, Golden Boot, and a Punting competition win. Also, he and 3 other campers were added to our prestigious recruiting list. Congratulations to the 4 newest members of the Kicking World Hot Prospect List:

Lucas Havrisik (2017 Riverside Poly HS , CA)
Chris Stalter (2016 Vista HS , CA)
Seth Ketterer (2017 Carlsbad HS, CA)
Johnny Clarizio (2017 Lasalle HS, CA)

Coach Brent’s Thoughts on the New Prospects

  • Lucas is an exceptional athlete and very gifted in kicking and punting. If he goes all-in with football (loves soccer) he will be one of the top 2017 kickers in the nation.
  • Chris Stalter shows a lot of promise with a big kickoff leg. Very smooth/calm and consistent on field goals.
  • Seth Ketterer is a pleasant surprise. Fairly new to kicking from soccer, and has a lot of upside. Giant kickoff leg and great field goal lift/trajectory.
  • Johnny Clarizio has a ton of potential with a massive kickoff leg. With a couple small fundamental tweaks, he should be a very high rated kicker.
