Sam has a very nice field goal trajectory – high and straight from 55 and in. He won back to back years’ Virginia camp Golden Boot. Needs to improve FG Ball rotation as he hits an occasional wobbly end over end ball. Sam averages 61-64 yards on kickoffs with nearly automatic touchbacks his senior season, and has the ability to hit some real bombs in the 65-70 yard range. While he has a big kickoff (distance) leg he’s got to get the hang times up by .20-.25 seconds. Sam shows a lot of hustle/drive and follow-through on assignments. We expect him to be successful at the collegiate level.
