Today, long-time Kicking World student Jason Sanders was named the 2020 AP NFL 1st Team All-Pro kicker. Jason had a storybook season setting and breaking several NFL and Miami Dolphins kicking records. The Dolphins kicker was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month two times (October and November) this season. He kicked 5 field goals in one game in back to back weeks (10/4 and 10/11) this 2020 NFL season.

Jason Sanders had an impressive field goal percentage this season going 36/39 (92.3%) and a perfect 36/36 (100%) on PATs for a total of 144 points scored by kicking. With a long field goal of 56 yards and eight kicks (8/9) over 50 yards, it makes his impressive kicking stats and 1st Team All-pro honor even more compelling.

“At Kicking World we’re very proud of Jason’s accolades and accomplishments over the last 3 years of his NFL kicking career and I look forward to his continued success as one of the top kickers in the League.”  -Brent Grablachoff, Owner & Head Coach

Setting himself apart from all NFL kickers this season, even finishing above the long-time heralded best kicker in the NFL – Justin Tucker (2nd Team All-Pro), Jason Sanders proved he deserves to be in the conversation as one of the top kickers in the league right now, if not the best. With 46 different kickers having played at some point during the 2020 NFL regular season (source – @KickerCentral on Instagram) Jason rose to the top and reaffirmed the wise move by the Miami Dolphins who drafted the University of New Mexico product in the 2018 NFL Draft.

“A lot of it goes back to the offseason, just work you put in the offseason. I have a tremendous support staff around me… a great family, friends, kicking coach, and coaching staff here. It makes your job a lot easier when you know the confidence your coaches have in you when you go out and kick the ball.” -Jason Sanders (source: Sun Sentinel / Safid Deen)
