Today, on April 28, 2018 with the 229th pick in the 7th round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected kicker, Jason Sanders of New Mexico! He was 1 of only 2 kickers taken in this year’s NFL draft. Jason is a testament to hard work, training consistently to achieve a goal, and ‘trusting the process’. He began as a Kicking World student back in 2013 with Coach Brent Grablachoff, and has stuck with Kicking World since. He’s amassed numerous accolades over his kicking career from being named to the Kicking World All-American team both in HS and College, to having the highest touchback % in all of College Football, connecting on multiple 50+ yard field goals, to setting several school records at Villa Park HS and the University of New Mexico, to hitting multiple game-winning field goals for the Lobos, and more.

Read the interview of Jason when he committed to his college alma mater – New Mexico, on full-scholarship. Jason has also served as a student coach at Kicking World and has given back by passing his knowledge on to youth kickers. Now he will become a ‘guest’ coach as his time permits.
Having experienced the ‘big game’ environment playing in front of over 99,000 fans vs Texas A&M at Kyle Field during his senior year in College, Jason is ready for anything. With his work ethic, commitment to constantly getting better and striving for perfection, and humble, hard-working attitude, Miami Dolphins fans all over the world have a lot to look forward to in the coming years. Here’s a cool compilation video of his recent workout with Coach Brent in Austin, TX (watch him hit the upright 3x in a row, wow)!
The entire Kicking World family is very proud of Jason and we wish him years of success in the National Football League and as the Miami Dolphins kicker.
