HS Kicker Michael Aresco has Game of a Lifetime

Michael Aresco kicked 4 field goals in one game and tied a Connecticut state record with a 52 yard field goal and 16 points.

Michael will never forget Friday night, October 21st. The junior kicker for Middletown HS in Connecticut tied a state record by kicking and making all 4 of his attempted field goals from 52, 42, 33 and 25 yards. As if that’s not enough already, he also was 4 for 4 on extra points and 8/8 kickoffs for touchback and 1/1 successfully recovered onside kicks; totaling a whopping 16 points by kicking in the team’s 40-0 route of Farmington HS.

Aresco attended the Kicking Worth North Jersey kicking camp in Wayne, NJ on April 3, 2016 and showed a ton of promise. He won the Golden Boot (best field goal kicker at camp) and kickoff competition; besting a pack of 20 high school kickers. He also earned a 2016 Showcase invitation (1 of only 94 invitees from over 1,100 campers this season).

Michael has a good attitude, a big leg and shows he can excel under pressure. We expect big things from Michael and colleges need to get him on their radar immediately. He definitely shows promise to take his kicking to the Division 1 level. He is college ready now as a field goal kicker, and with a little more hang-time on his kickoffs, he should blossom into a potentially scholarship worthy kicker by his senior year. Congrats to Michael on a career kicking night, enjoy it!
