Female Kicker Mika Makekau the ‘Iolani HS Kicker on Oahu, Hawaii did something no other female football player in the state has ever done. She crushed a 44 yard field goal… in the Hawaii State Playoffs… AND was 3/3 on field goals for the night! The feat set a Hawaii state record for longest field goal made by a female kicker.

The ‘Iolani Raiders brought out Coach Brent to train their kickers and punters this summer and accomplished a lot. Brent witnessed Mika hitting big kicks back to 50 yards and she finished off their 3 days of training hitting multiple touchbacks! The Aloha Stadium performance on Saturday, September 15, 2018 will certainly be a life long memory for Mika, her family, friends, and football team, and we’re very proud of her accomplishment!

Enjoy the video below shot in June 2018 where Coach Brent worked with the ‘Iolani School kickers for 3 days making fundamental adjustments and implementing new easy to follow kicking drills that helped their coaches keep the specialists accountable and improving each week.
