07/09/21 Update: After a super impressive 2 seasons setting several NAIA and league kicking records for OUAZ, Landon officially joined Texas Tech to be closer to home and continue on his journey of being a Division 1 football player. He is now a Red Raider and is favored going into summer camp for the kickoff position. Landon’s kickoff leg is insane right now and in a recent video from a small group training session with Kicking World on June 2, 2o21 Landon can be seen hitting multiple kickoffs over 75-80 yards with 4.0-4.2 seconds of hang time. Texas Tech should be in line for some big kickoffs this fall and having touchbacks will inevitably help the Red Raiders’ field position battle on Special Teams.
College: Landon led his league in touchbacks as a true freshman. He’s got a dominating kickoff leg and gets quick lift on his field goals with a deep range out to 65 yards. I’m really looking forward to his sophomore season. If he continues on the path he’s going he has a chance to play at the next level.
HS: Landon is very consistent on FGs from inside 50 yards with excellent lift and a penetrating ball flight off the ground. I’ve personally witnessed him kick multiple 60 yard field goals and even a 65 yarder with some wind. His punting has reached a whole new level and has hit several mid 4 seconds hang time punts at our 2 most recent camps. At our 2018 camps, he’s proven to be near the top of his class in Texas both with consistency and power, and one of the better Class of 2019 field goal kickers in the country. Landon is a long-time consistent and loyal Kicking World student that I’ve gotten to know over the last 4 years. He is a 4x National Showcase attendee and had a very consistent showing at our 2016 event. Landon’s improved nicely from sophomore to junior to senior year and continues to grow in strength. He’s a respectful young man out of West Texas who works hard on his craft and deserves an opportunity. Being from a very small school, most of his misses have been operational snafus with the snap/hold.
