Join Kicking World for our fall tune-up Tenneessee kicking camp in Kingsport at Dobyns-Bennett HS. Our Kingsport kicking camp location makes for a close drive from the Tri-Cities (Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol) and a reasonable trip from Charlotte, Roanoke, and Cincinnati.
This camp is headed up by Coach Alex Walls who had an All-American kicking career at the University of Tennessee back in the Peyton Manning era, and it will be a smaller event limited to the first 12 signups. This camp is designed as a mid-season fall tune-up to help sharpen your skills and also provide you a last-chance opportunity to compete to earn a 2023 National Showcase invitation.
As this camp was added in late September, if we don’t get that many signups (say 4 to 8 instead of 10 to 12) it will turn into more of a small group hybrid lesson/camp environment with a slightly condensed schedule of ~3 hours instead of ~5 hours, and it would start ~1 hour later than 9:30am (and finish at the same posted time), and Coach Alex will make sure it’s still a great experience and well worth the time and money. We’ll be able to get video footage for you to post on Instagram & Twitter/X as well as ultra slow-motion video for you to learn from. Many times the smaller camps make the most impact as there is more 1 on 1 time. You’ll have the opportunity to improve your technique & fundamentals in all aspects of field goal kicking, kickoffs, punts, rugby punts, and even onside kicks.
This Tennessee kicking camp entails 1 day of quality instruction in a fun & results-focused environment. There will be impromptu contests throughout the camp day and at the end, we will hold a double-elimination field goal competition; with awards & recognition. Competition results/stats are posted on our website. Exceptional camper performances will be considered for our exclusive Hot Prospect List and/or may receive an invitation to our annual invite-only National Showcase in December. This Kingsport kicking camp is the perfect opportunity to accelerate your kicking & punting skills, mental game, and overall process; and get noticed as you continue through the HS Football season.
