KICKING CAMP Details

Join Kicking World for our fall tune-up Arizona kicking camp in Phoenix at North HS. Our Phoenix kicking camp location makes for a close drive from all parts of Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California and is minutes from ASU & Scottsdale. This camp is headed up by Coach Brent (owner of Kicking World), and based on signups possibly an assistant coach too. To preserve quality instruction camp is limited to the first 20 signups. This Phoenix kicking camp is designed as a mid-season fall tune-up to help sharpen your skills and provide you with a last-chance opportunity to compete for a National Showcase invitation. You’ll have the opportunity to improve your technique & fundamentals in all aspects of field goal kicking and kickoffs, and we may add in a small segment of punts, too, but for this specific camp, we will focus on FG/KO.

This Arizona kicking camp entails 1 day of quality instruction in a fun & results-focused environment. There will be impromptu contests throughout the camp day, and at the end, we will hold a double-elimination field goal competition; with awards & recognition. Competition results/stats are posted on our website. Exceptional camper performances will be considered for our annual invite-only National Showcase in December. This Phoenix kicking camp is the perfect opportunity to accelerate your kicking & punting skills, mental game, and overall process; and get noticed as you continue through the HS Football season.

If you’re in the Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale area, you need to be here!

Frequently asked Questions (FAQs)

Are your camps open to first-timers? Skill level & ages? Ball Sizes? Not age 13-19?

While our camps are open to all skill levels (beginner, intermediate & advanced), we recommend camp participants have at least one year of kicking and/or punting experience under their belt, and you must have competent motor skills & coordination and be able to listen and focus in a group setting.

We use High School sized leather footballs at our 2-Day & 1-Day camps (ages 13-19), and smaller composite (rubber) footballs for our Youth camps (ages 9-12). If your skill level is more on the beginner side it is highly recommended that you add our Kicking and/or Punting DVD during the order checkout, and study (and try to practice/implement) Chapters 1-3 before attending camp.

A private lesson is more appropriate if you have never kicked, punted, or snapped before or have not excelled in at least a couple of years of soccer. (Feel free to text us videos or email a link to videos to Coach Brent’s iPhone cell # or email address which are listed on our Contact Us page. Be sure to include two kicks and/or punts, and we can advise you on the right camp. The video should be filmed from the side far enough away to have the kicker, ball flight, and field in view for the entire kick. Based on this video, we can recommend the appropriate camp for you).

Not quite 13 years old yet?

If you are a mature/stronger 12.5 year old who is experienced, we can possibly consider you for the ages 13-19 camps IF you’ve been to our Youth camp before and/or have had private lessons with us and will be in at least 7th grade at the time of the camp.

Please follow the video submission instructions above and do not sign up until we review your video for consideration. If you are only 9 to 11 years old we cannot get you into an ages 13-19 camp, no exceptions. You would need to register for a ‘Youth’ camp which is specifically for ages 9-12 (and young 13 year olds). If the camper is not age 13-19 and you register for the older camp without first communicating with us and getting approval from us, we will cancel your registration, and your payment will be forfeited.

Having you in the right camp will help ensure that everyone has a great experience!

What if I ONLY Kick or ONLY Punt?

I’m Primarily a Kicker or Only a Kicker

Even if you are only a field goal/kickoff kicker, we encourage you to participate during the punting verbal instruction & drills. You are fine to opt out of the actual punting and punt competitions, or you may skip the entire punting segment and take an extended lunch break to save your leg. Punting is only about 25% of the entire camp duration, so we do not have the option to register as a ‘Kicker Only’ position, and you should choose ‘Kicker/Punter’ when signing up. More colleges are seeking ‘combo specialists,’ and we think it’s essential for you to know at least the fundamentals of a secondary skill. It will help you in the long run.

I’m Primarily a Punter or Only a Punter

If you’re primarily a punter, you are still encouraged to partake in field goal & kickoff instruction & drills with the group but can sit out during the actual kicking and kick competitions. However, if you are truly a ‘Punter Only‘, choose that position option when signing up for camp. Punter Only campers typically arrive ~2 hours after the posted camp start time and participate only in the punting portion, which is roughly 25% of the total camp duration, thus the discounted camper fee. We only allow a limited number of Punter Only spots for each camp. More colleges are seeking ‘combo specialists’, and we think it’s essential for you to know at least the fundamentals of a secondary skill. It will help you in the long run.

What’s the Difference between a 2-Day Camp and a 1-Day Camp?

2-Day camps are more comprehensive (11 hours over 2 Days) with a dedicated second day for field goal, kickoff, and punt competitions, plus a detailed college recruiting talk. 1-Day camps are condensed events (5.5 hours in 1 day), only have a field goal competition, and do not have the recruiting talk.

2-Day camps include:

  • Lunch on Day 1
  • Detailed Recruiting Talk (for students/parents)
  • Competitions & Recruiting on Day 2
  • More Drills
  • More Instruction
  • More Time on the field

*The National Showcase & College/Pro events have different itineraries and you should reference their unique camp details page for more info.

What Do you Offer as far as Recruiting/Exposure?

At every Kicking World camp, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your talent & get noticed based on your performance! Camp results are posted on our website and distributed to local media and college football coaches. We’ll post short video clips of the top performers at each camp on our social media pages. Behind the scenes, we do a ton of proactive marketing for our entire student base, particularly those who remain loyal, are coachable, and continue to work hard on the football field and in the classroom. At 2-Day camps and our National Showcase, we have a very detailed college recruiting talk with tons of tips & proven strategies to get on the radar of college football programs.

Over the years, we’ve established deep relationships with college football coaches around the country, and we recommend our students based on their performance at Kicking World camps and private lessons. At every camp, students can qualify to earn an invite to our National Showcase, featuring the top specialists from all our camps for that year. Our invite-only National Showcase is held at the end of the football season in December, is streamed LIVE on various @KickingWorld social media channels, and has landed dozens of our students college football scholarships over the years.

Additionally, the best Kicking World students from all our camps earn a spot on our exclusive Recruiting List, which gives them a massive visibility boost. To see all our recruiting/exposure offerings, visit our Recruiting page.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

A 50% refund is generally provided if we receive notice of cancellation at least 30 days before the camp date. You may also elect a one-time courtesy transfer of any monies paid toward a future camp in that same camp season without losing any money. If you miss the 30-day cancellation window but contact us at least 5 days before camp, we will typically allow you a one-time courtesy transfer of any monies paid toward a future camp in that same camp season. In all other cases (including last-minute cancellations, no shows, etc.), there are no refunds for any reason, and any monies paid are forfeited.
