Our 2014 Dallas, TX 2-Day kicking & punting camp had perhaps the best punting talent of any camp we’ve held in the last couple years. At most Kicking World camps we get a large mix of goal/kickoff specialists and only a handful of punters (as there are typically more kickers than punters out there). Well this weekend we had almost half of the field dropping absolute bomb punts!
Students learned from former standout punters Jon Corson (Kutztown University ‘2003), Louie Sakoda (University of Utah ‘2008 / CFL Punter), and Cameron Frosch (Texas A&M Commerce ‘2014 / NFL Draft Eligible) in addition to the usual instruction of Coach Brent Grablachoff and Jesse Sandoval.
Three students earned a spot on the Kicking World Hot Prospect List this weekend! Congratulations to the following new students to make our prestigious list:
- Jackson Hubbard (Highland Park HS, 2017)
- Tyler Dunlop (L.D. Bell HS, 2016)
- Drew Smith (McKinney Boyd HS, 2015)
Existing Hot Prospects Max Allan, Nicholas Keller and Hunter Darter had some excellent performances and showed everyone why they deserve to be on our list.
Older Group Re-Cap
Max Allan, Class of 2016 Kicker (Colleyville Heritage HS, TX) and existing KW Hot Prospect was perfect (100%) on the field goal competition making consecutive kicks from 30L, 30R, 35L, 35R, 40M, 45M, 50M, 55M and 58 M! That’s 9/9 successful field goals with pressure. Also Max won the kickoff competition (older group) with a 65 yard kickoff average. Newcomer and Class of 2016 Punter/Kicker Tyler Dunlop (L.D. Bell HS) dominated the punting competition with a whopping 44.67 yard Punt Average!
Younger Group Re-Cap
Hunter Darter, Class of 2017 Kicker/Punter (Ardmore HS, OK) and existing KW Hot Prospect brought his A game on punts with an impressive 41 yard punting average to win the younger group Punting Competition. Newcomer and Class of 2017 Kicker Jackson Hubbard (Highland Park HS, TX) ran away with the Kickoff Competition win with a convincing 59 yard kickoff average, with kickoffs of 56, 58 and 63 yards! He’s only a freshman! Also, Jackson was perfect on his field goals through 45 yards and was just wide on a 50 yarder, but since he only had 1 miss and Hunter missed his second at 50, Jackson won! Congratulations to both of these guys on impressive ‘younger group’ performances.

On The Radar
Several students from this weekend’s camp made a big impression on Coach Brent and the staff. With a few small fundamental/technique tweaks, they too will be on their way to earning a spot on the Kicking World Hot Prospect List.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our big 2-Day Kicking/Punting Performance Camp in Austin, TX on Saturday & Sunday, June 14-15, 2014. We will have 2 days of quality instruction, competitions and even a bass fishing contest and father/son field goal kicking contest. Get ready for a fun weekend y’all!
