Julio had a dominating performance at the Kicking World July 17, 2021 kicking camp in Indianapolis where he won the FG comp with a 58 yarder and hit multiple kickoffs 75+ yards with 4.0-4.2 seconds of hang, and even crushed one 4.3 seconds. We rarely add someone to the Hot Prospect List this early but after his compelling showing and after getting to know him and witnessing his terrific attitude and hustle, we’ve taken the leap and fast-tracked Julio.
The Class of 2022 kicker has one of the biggest legs in the country and looks great on all 3 phases (field goals, kickoffs, and punts). His field goal ball flight gets up quickly, and he kicks off the ground (no field goal block). His kickoffs are like rockets being shot off.
In 2020 Julio was recruited away from football to play for the premier club soccer team in Indy (feeds into MLS) to prepare for a possible future in pro soccer. But after being away from kicking for a year he realized his true passion was in kicking and he decided to go all in on making kicking his college future.
