PUNT ELIMINATION ROUNDS EXPLAINED
Students had a minimum distance (yards) and hang-time (seconds) criteria to meet in order to move on in each round. If a student met the distance/hang-time criteria in their first kick, they did not kick again until the next round. ‘PLACE’ i.e. ranking was determined based on how many rounds the student lasted in the elimination competition. In cases where multiple students were eliminated in the same round, the highest Score was used to determine Place. Round 4 was the final round of regulation since only one student hit the metric we did not need to advance into ‘Overtime’ and he was declared the outright winner and everyone else was sorted by their rounds lasted and total score as mentioned above. The round requirements were as follows:

Rd 1: 30, 3.5
Rd 2: 35, 3.7
Rd 3: 40, 3.9
Rd 4: 42, 4.1

Temperature: 70 Degrees
Wind: 7 MPH, mostly at back
Notes: +5 Yard Wind Advantage. Contrary to Day 2 kickoffs, the Punting event had a favorable wind.
