2019 – Jorge has shown glimmers of wow kicking over the last 2 years, and this year’s Showcase and the weeks following the big event he turned it up a few notches. He finished in a 5-Way tie for Runner-up in our Day 2 field goal elimination event and made kicks through 55 yards. The pop he gets on his field goals is impressive… the ball really jumps off his foot. Take a look at the one practice video which albeit a heavy wind, the ball is absolutely bombing off his foot (with D1 college level lift/ball flight). Jorge is a good kid who keeps to himself at camp and silently gets the job done. He’s been making some small form refinements and remembering not to try to crush each kick, which is helping him get more smooth as a kicker. He’s a big boy with lots of power and has done a great job of trimming up and getting fit this year.

2020 National Showcase Update (12/6/20)
Jorge had a tough Showcase which was an anomaly as he’s been very consistent at our camps. With a combination of no football season in NM this year and all of the schools/parks’ fields were closed over the last 2 months – perhaps he didn’t have enough opportunity to prep for the weekend. He definitely has the ability as a witness to his booming leg and great ball flight over the last couple of years’ camps. He’s improved a lot on his punting too.
