Jake is a HS freshman who shows a lot of promise but does need to work on the fundamentals and add some more distance/hang-time to his kickoffs. He had a good showing at his first KW camp appearance in July 2020 in Columbus OH. Since then he’s improved a ton and has had a great freshman year starting on Varsity making all of his 3 FGs and all but 1 (blocked) of his 19 PAT attempts. He was one of less than 10 freshmen at our 2020 National Showcase in December. He’ll need to grind hard this off-season to get more consistent and add a little more juice on his kicks/punts. I know he’s serious about kicking and I’m expecting him to focus more and step it up as he matures and grows as a young man and kicker going into his sophomore year.
