Ewan had another wow performance at our 2020 National Showcase (see below). He had a strong showing at our 2019 National Showcase, particularly on field goals. He strikes the ball consistently well. Statistically, he had a great in-game season earning multiple honors for All-Region and District kicker. Update – since our 2019 National Showcase in December Ewan put on a little muscle and further improved his mechanics and is now crushing routine punts in the 4.0-4.2 hang time range and has a nice kickoff with 64-66 yard kickoffs in the 3.8-3.85 hang time range, with occasional 3.95+ and a beautiful field goal ball flight/trajectory with a range of 50 and in. Ewan had a super-impressive statistical 2020 Senior year season and put just about every kickoff deep into the endzone for touchbacks.
Our Knoxville area coach Alex Walls, who played at U Tennessee under Coach Fulmer in the early 2000s has a rave review on Ewan, as do his HS coaches.
2020 National Showcase Update (12/6/20)
Ewan hung in the Top 5 overall on multiple events amongst nearly 90 of the country’s best kickers & punters at our invite-only even in Austin, TX! Read the event recap with detailed stats and Top 10 list. Ewan looks D1 ready on both FG/KO/P and is a respectful young man that works hard.
