November 2022 Update – Clayton will unfortunately not be attending the 2022 Showcase as his state playoff game is on Saturday and after the travel/full day of kicking he just can’t make it work. He’s come a long way as a kicker and with his punting too which is now D1 level as well. Clayton is still one of the best specialists in his 2024 class and is listed as one of our top 2 guys for this class.

June 2022 Update – Clayton is hands down one of the best Class of 2024 kickers in the country, who can also punt well. He performed well at 6 of the 7 university-run camps he attended this summer winning both field goal and kickoff events for his class and overall. He had one subpar outing and bounced back strong on his last 3 college camps. He had a few different unofficial visits this summer and has been gaining significant interest from multiple powerhouse FBS programs nationwide. Offers are expected soon. Get on him before he is no longer available and committed early!

Dec 2021 Update – Clayton had a terrific 2021 National Showcase on Dec 4-5 here in Austin, TX finishing tied for Overall Winner of our Day 2 Field Goal Elimination competition going a perfect 8/8 on field goals through 60 yards (35L, 35R, 40L, 40R, 45M, 50M, 55M, and 60M) with his only misses coming at the very end from 65 yards. On Day 1 Field Goal Charting he finished Overall Runner-up making 7/7 perfect kicks from 30L, 30R, 35L, 35R, 40M, 45M, and 50M. On Day 1 Kickoffs he finished 7th overall and #1 in his class of 2024 kickers, putting 4 of his 5 kickoffs exactly 70 yards deep showing great consistency. The underclassman recruit is listed as our top Class of 2024 kicker with a D1 level rating. Punting is a secondary thing for him but he even cranked out a 4.3 and 4.5 second punt this weekend. He can do all 3 but is top-notch on FG/KO.

Pound for pound, Clayton had the cleanest looking, most consistent field goals throughout the 2021 National Showcase weekend (96 total participants) with every ball jumping off his foot going high, end over end, and dead straight. As he’s still only a sophomore Clayton is tracking toward being one of our best specialists in the last few years. He’s someone that I expect to get early offers as he also has a strong kickoff leg and can punt decently well too. This is a top tier FBS level recruit you need to get at the top of your Class of 2024 recruiting board. FBS Scholarship worthy & ready!

October 2021 update – Clayton’s leg has come alive this off-season and throughout this HS Sophomore campaign. He’s earned the starting varsity job and now routinely crushes kickoffs in the 66-70 yard range with excellent hang times consistently around 3.8-3.9 seconds and I’ve even seen him break 4.0 a few times (as a sophomore)! In game with a little wind at his back he’s blasted a few kickoffs nearly 80 yards. His field goals look beautiful – the ball quickly gets up, dead straight end over end – no wobble. He’s a good kid who’s very respectful, appreciative and someone I believe will be getting early looks as he nears his junior year. This is a kid that’s tracking toward becoming an FBS level scholarship kicker. He’s also pretty solid at punting too. Watch Clayton at our upcoming 2021 National Showcase, LIVE on December 5 on our YouTube channel.

2020 National Showcase Update (12/6/20) – Clayton looked smooth on his field goals, and he did hit some decently deep kickoffs but needs to get more hang time. He has a lot of potential and is still very young. As he grows and matures into his sophomore year I expect him to be putting up some bigger numbers and hopefully emerge as one of the better sophomore specialists out of the state of Texas.

Early 2020 synopsis – Clayton, as an incoming HS freshman has shown really well at our 2020 camps and even won a few events, hanging with kids two grade years above him. Most recently in mid-August, he’s been able to hit 50-55 yard field goals, with documented video. His leg strength has grown tremendously and his form has become very smooth after having trained with us through camps and private lessons for the last 2 years. Clayton added hang time to his kickoffs this summer and has improved upon his punting too, and is now a legitimate college kicking recruit who should get early interest. He had a great in-game season as a freshman making most of his 35 PAT attempts, hitting some deep kickoffs, and had some nicely placed directional punts.
