2021 National Showcase (Dec 4-5) update – Alex has the potential to be a top-notch kicker. When he hits the ball pure it sounds so good, like a bomb going off. As a freshman I think he was way ahead of the game and this sophomore year he didn’t evolve as much as I was hoping to. I want to see Alex put in the work this off season and come back bombing both field goals and kickoffs with greater consistency, power, and hang time.

June 2021 update – Alex has grown and matured quite a bit since last year and is hitting kickoffs with solid hang time and distance. He still needs to add a little more pop to his kickoffs but he’s really close. His field goals look nice – quickly rising, end over end. He does get the occasional wobbler which he’ll be working on correcting. He’s fully down to a 1″ FG Block and KO tee and should be poised for a solid HS junior year.

December 2020 – Alex had a solid showing at our June 2020 Kansas City camp and followed it up with a good performance at our National Showcase in Austin, TX on Dec 5-6. He finished #1 in his Class on Day 2 Kickoff Eliminations and showed some glimmers of greatness during the weekend. He will need to increase his kickoff distance by 5 yards and add .20 seconds of hang time this off-season, which should be very doable. A growth spurt and continual focus on form and fundamentals will help take him to the next level. He’s also working on improving his punting ability. Alex has a lot of potential and it’s up to him to unlock it this off-season.
