June 2023 Update: Ethan again showed his kicking field goals under pressure prowess by finishing tied at our June 2023 Oklahoma City camp making it back to 55 yards. He’s been excelling on the college camp tour this season finishing in the top 5 at three different FBS college run kicking camps and was the overall winner at 2 other schools. His kickoffs need about 4 more yards for the FBS level but combined with his exceptional grades, attitude, and work ethic, and the fact he continues to grow he could be a good hidden gem to add to even the highest level’s roster. He’s a shoo-in scholarship level FCS/D2 recruit and could be FBS-ready with a few more yards on KO this fall. His kickoff hang times have been consistently around the 3.85-second range with occasional bombs getting in the high 3.9s.

2022 Update: Ethan held his own at our 2022 National Showcase showing greater distance on field goals and improved hang times on kickoffs. He has been putting on weight and grew another 2 inches. During his 2022 season he hit quite a few touchbacks and the coach showed the confidence to attempt a couple 50+ yard field goals that just scooted wide.

Winter 2021 Update: Ethan was the big surprise of our 2021 National Showcase to the coaching staff, but not to me. They saw that he’s tall and slender and didn’t think he’d have the oomph, but I was chuckling on Day 2 when Ethan went a perfect 7/7 through 55 yards finishing tied for Overall Runner-up (7-Way Tie) among close to 100 of the country’s top specialists. He narrowly missed a 60 yard FG 1 yard wide and short.

He started Varsity last year as a freshman and made Special Teams POTG honors multiple times, and followed it up with a strong sophomore campaign making over 50 dozen PATs! At our May 2021 Oklahoma City camp he was the Overall Runner-up on Field Goals there too going a perfect 8/8 through 50 yards. He’s shown great consistency in his field goal kicking and while his kickoff power (hang time wise) isn’t where it needs to be yet, I believe if he continues the progress he has done in the last year, into next year he could evolve into a D1 level recruit by his junior year. Hard to assign a rating quite yet as he’s still young and growing, but tons of potential. A student of the kicking game who dissects his slow-mo video and puts in study time to be the best he possibly can. Has been with me since our ages 9-12 youth camps several years ago and I’m proud of his massive growth as a placekicker.
