April 2022 update – Aidan is a very polished combo K/P recruit. I see him getting a chance at the FBS level. A couple minor form improvements eliminating his occasional baby draw on field goals, and being able to hit his best kickoffs more regularly and he can be a terrific pickup at the D1 level. Already garnering early interest from a few top-tier programs and should have some opportunities presented in the very near future. Works with a local coach near him and should be able to pull it all together and be fully D1 ready by this summer of 2022.
Aidan just wrapped up his 2021 National Showcase appearance in December where he stayed consistent in all 3 phases throughout the long 2-Day event. He didn’t outright win any one event but he had several top 10 finishes (96 specialists in attendance). He went 7/7 through 55 yards and barely short at 60 yards in the Day 2 Field Goal Elimination finishing tied for Overall Runner-up. He’s shown at all our camps and through his in-season stats that he’s a reliable, calm under pressure kicker/punter. He’s best on field goals & punts, and with a little more consistency on hitting his best kickoffs more regularly he could be a 3 skill guy at the D1 level. Definitely one of the better 2023 specialists in the country and a great kid to get out for some visits.
Aidan is one of only a few KW campers last season who earned the prestigious ‘Triple Threat Champion’ award meaning he clean swept all 3 (FG/KO/P) events at our July 2020 Charlotte, NC camp, finishing as the winner (younger group) and #2 Overall on KO and P. He followed up this performance with a super solid 2020 National Showcase outing hanging with many juniors and finishing in the top 3 of his sophomore class for kickoffs on both days and tied for #2 in his Class on FGs on Day 2.
His strong point is field goals – very accurate under pressure. He put together a streak of 6 consecutive made FGs from 30L, 30R, 35L, 35R, 40M, 45M, 50M at both the July Charlotte camp and our 2020 National Showcase. He has a big kickoff leg too, and with a little more hang time will be near one of the top in his class. When he’s on he can also punt too. With a solid off-season of training/preparation Aidan should emerge as one of the top Class of 2023 kicking recruits in the Southeast.
