Aaron has improved immensely in his last 2 camp seasons of training with Kicking World while I’ve been in town for our camps in Denver. He had a good season on both PAT/FG and is hitting kickoffs and punts well too. He has a good attitude, is very responsive to getting any homework done I’ve given him, and he has spunk. Aaron participated in our 2021 National Showcase and it was good to see him for the grand finale of his HS senior year. He is a good all-around kicker/punter that would help add value to a D2 or D3 level program. If he could improve his kickoff distance/hang time that would help move him up a level. As an aside, he’s been hitting the gym hard and eating flawlessly and it shows as he has a very chiseled physique and he enjoys the gym/fitness, and is very strong – he told me he can bench 225 for multiple reps, and he only weighs just under 165 lbs! He’s also one of only a few who were 3x National Showcase attendees.

2020 National Showcase Update (12/6/20) – Aaron attended our 2020 National event in Austin, TX where close to 90 of the country’s best-invited specialists performed in competitions over 2 days. He connected on some really good kickoffs and punts but does need to get more consistent. His best 2 kickoffs of Day 2 were a respectable 65 yards / 3.78 seconds and 64 yards / 3.81 seconds, but he did mishit a few over the weekend. If he can hit those good balls more regularly he is capable of becoming a D2 or better level kicker.

He had a very abbreviated 2020 football season in Colorado with the Coronavirus and that, combined with the winter cold and the timing of the Showcase in December I know he wasn’t able to get out there to prepare as much as he would’ve liked. Once we get back to normalcy and he has the chance to start practicing once it warms up this off-season I see him hopefully evolving into at least a Division 2 level combo recruit. His best skill is kickoffs (distance) followed by punts, then field goals. I’d like to see him work more on his field goals this off-season too.
