This is best for beginners, youth football kickers, and punters, and for players who want to learn the fundamentals and beginner/intermediate techniques. The majority of students will be 9-12 years old. Age exceptions can be made if you are a younger 13 yr old or an older 8 yr old depending upon your skill level, maturity, physical build, etc. The minimum requirement is that you have the strength to at least kick the ball 15 yards in the air (which is like making a field goal from the 5-yard line). The ‘typical’ student in our youth camps range from being able to kick a 15 to 30 yard field goal, and some can even make it from 35+ yards. If you are however making 40+ yard field goals already, you may be better suited for a 2-Day or 1-Day camp. But do realize in the older camps we use High School sized balls and it is more difficult. Our youth camp is focused on teaching you the proper kicking mechanics in a safe, fun, and instructional environment with contests and prizes!

If you are only 9 to 11 years old we cannot get you into an ages 13-19 camp (1-Day / 2-Day types), no exceptions, but some older 12 year olds we can sometimes get in if they’re mature and more advanced.

While our camps are open to all skill levels (beginner, intermediate & advanced), we recommend camp participants have at least 1 year of kicking, punting, or snapping experience under their belt, and you must have competent motor skills & coordination.

We use High School sized leather footballs at our 2-Day & 1-Day camps (ages 13-19), and smaller composite (rubber) footballs for our Youth camps (ages 9-12). If your skill level is more on the beginner side it is highly recommended that you add our Kicking and/or Punting DVD during the order checkout, and study (and try to practice/implement) Chapters 1-3 before attending camp.

A private lesson is more appropriate if you have never kicked, punted, or snapped before or have not held your own in at least a couple of years of soccer. (Feel free to email or text us a video or link to a video with 2-3 kicks and/or punts and we can advise you on the right camp. The video should be filmed from the side far enough away to have the kicker, ball flight, and field in view for the entire kick. Based on this video we can recommend the appropriate camp for you).

Not quite 13 years old yet?

If you are a mature/stronger 12-year-old that is experienced, we can possibly consider you, but please follow the video submission instructions above and do not sign up until we review your video for consideration. If you are only 9 to 11 years old we cannot get you into an ages 13-19 camp, no exceptions. You would need to look at our ‘Youth’ camps which are specifically for ages 9-12 (or young 13 year olds).
