Top Kicking Performers: November 2016

Game-winning kicks, 50+ yard field goals and players of the week honors. Kicking World kickers had a great November!

It’s been a great last couple of weeks for Kicking World students around the country.

University of New Mexico kicker (Junior) Jason Sanders hit a 51 yard field goal in his past game and 2 weeks prior earned Special Teams Player of the week (Mountain West Conference) for his 3 field goal night including 1 that was the go ahead kick that ultimately won the game. Jason has consistently been #2 in touchbacks in the FBS all season long and this week he moved into the #1 spot with a large gap between #1 and #2 now. He has consistently put 90%+ of his kickoffs deep in the end zone for touchbacks this season. It’s been a storybook season for the junior kicker and organizations at the next level have been taking notice.

Jack Traugott, junior kicker out of Victoria East HS in Texas drilled a 51 yard field goal this week in Texas HS state playoffs. The Texas kicker will be attending the 2016 Showcase in December in San Diego, CA. Watch the Kick!

Jacob Keller followed in his older brother’s footsteps this month with a game-winning field goal to help propel Pearland HS into the Texas HS state playoffs. Jacob’s older brother Nick was a Class of 2015 Kicking World Hot Prospect and was a preferred walk-on at Texas Tech. It looks like Jacob is doing a great job continuing the kicking tradition down in Houston.

Patrick Sandler, senior kicker for Roncalli HS in Indianapolis, IN hit his SECOND game-winning field goal this season. This Friday night’s kick sent Roncalli to the Indianapolis HS state playoff FINALS at Lucas Oil Stadium. Patrick’s consistent season, clutch kicks and solid Kicking World camp performances earned him a spot on the Hot Prospect List this week!
