AJ Merlino (S)
Our son AJ Merlino is off to the University of Utah in the fall. AJ played four years of high school football and two years at the JC level. After working with Coach Ian Smetona his last year on long snapping, AJ got a preferred walk on for the Utah Utes. AJ is looking forward to snapping this year in the Pac 12 thanks to Coach Ian. Ian’s attention to the small nuances of AJ’s snapping and techniques has earned him a .70 second long snapping time with pinpoint accuracy. We would highly recommend Coach Ian to anyone looking to make a career of long snapping, be it to fine tune and improve, or even just starting out.
