Merrick had a solid kickoff showing at our 2017 invite-only Showcase finishing in the top few on both days and really hammering brand new footballs throughout the weekend. He shows a strong kickoff leg, but does need to continue to improve on overall field goal consistency. Merrick can punt too and would make for a well-rounded combo recruit at the D2 level.
